January 2012 - Happy New Year!! Our 2011 show season ended on a great note! Please see our Points page for the final standings - congrats to all our winners!

 

Our Year End Awards Banquet will be held on January 28th at 6:00pm at Governor's Restaurant in Lewiston. We are excited to be back at this great location again this year. Please check your email for the sign up sheet and mail it in today to make sure your space is reserved!

 

We've already received a few shows for affiliation for this coming show season - keep checking back for the dates!! 

 

 

 

2010 News

 

 **August 1**: Our first annual Maine Hunter/Jumper Summer Classic horse show was a huge success! Thanks to Amy Cutler and everyone who helped make this event so much fun!

 

Points have been updated! Go to the points page now to see the current standings! Note to affiliated shows: PLEASE double check the accuracy of your results! There have been several mistakes brought to our attention!

 

Also now on the site is a portion of our Rulebook! Due to technical difficulties, it wasn't here, but I've figured out the best way to do it! Please be patient with me as I have to re-type it!

 

March 31: The Maine Hunter/Jumper Association proudly announces that we are an affiliate of the United States Hunter/Jumper Assn!

Also, April 11 will be our next meeting (same location as the last) and we encourage ALL MEMBERS to attend, as we will be discussing our summer horse show!

 

 

February 23: March 7 is our next meeting! All members are welcome to attend!! Contact a board member for more information!

 

January 14: It's official! Jan. 23rd is the first meeting! See Home page for directions!

 

January 1, 2010: Happy New Year, members!!! Our first year was great and we are currently making plans for our first annual potluck awards banquet and meeting. It will tentatively be held on January 23rd at the AmVets Hall in New Gloucester. Though this is not set in stone, we are hopeful to get things confirmed within the week. Please stay tuned for the latest developments!

October 18: Points have been updated now and all are in! There are still a few events to qualify for year-end awards! Check the Events page for the latest happenings!

 

 

September 13: Wow...summer came and went! Thanks to all who attended our affiliated shows! Thanks, too, to those who affiliated with us. Please be sure to get your points to Esther Goodrich-Puffer in a timely manner! Points cannot be updated if they are not received!

June 21: Hope everyone is having fun this summer! We had a great turnout at our first show! It's been great seeing you at other Hunter shows in the area! Please return here often for the latest news and updates to our calendar and points standings!! We also appreciate your patience in our updates. We try to have frequent updates, but as you all know - in the horse world, sometimes it's not always possible!! Also, check out our article in the July issue of The Horse's Maine!!!!

 

May 25: Happy Memorial Day to all of our members! Our calendar of events is growing! Thanks to Brookfield Corner Farm for being our latest affiliated show!

 

 

April 12: Congratulations to Esther Goodrich-Puffer's student Caitlynn Pouliot on being accepted in to the United States Hunter Jumper Association's (USHJA) Emerging Athletes Program (EAP)!! Caitlynn was invited to train with Melanie Taylor Smith for a weekend! Congrats on all of your hard work, Caitlynn!!
